you might be interested in which is the better of the two best-known enameled cast iron brands: LeCreuset vs Staub - 2 French brands that have only Lodge and some smaller, high quality makers to defend themselves against.
For the record, Staub wins it - there are 2 things that put them over the top:
🧅a black interior that ACTUALLY BROWNS -
something that those light-colored interiors just CAN NOT DO
🧅the underside of the lid has drip points - tiny spikes that help keep foods moist and flavorful while cooking
That black interior is hands-down the game-changer - with no browning, there's no fond (those browny bits in the bottom of the pot); and that fond is the essence of the dish - it makes the gravy.
Prices for enameled are not cheap, so if you're spending the money, get the benefit that Staub offers for the same price as Le Creuset.
Next best option for a great dutch oven?
Regular, black cast iron produced right here in the USA 🇺🇸 - Lodge.
Enameled cast iron produced in China is uniformly 🐃💩.
